Brandi ShigleyThe past few days, I felt a darkness bothering me, energy from another put onto me. Not knowing how to respond, I sat quiet. But I can’t sit in the uncomfortable too long. Instead of listening to my own thoughts, and figuring out what I need to do on my own, I turned to the Word, tuning into Pastor Nate Morris of Calvary Belmar. Quite often, I tune into Grace FM on my commute and I really enjoy Nate’s messages.

Sure enough, I got my answer in his message entitled “Light in the Darkness”….

You can’t complain about the darkness, keeping the light to yourself and not shine it. Rather than cursing the darkness, turn on the light. Rather than grumbling about the situation and NOT doing anything about, I need to be brave and shine my light, with honest and kind words.

With a light shining, intentions can be exposed.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. Ephesians 5:8.

You have light. You are light. You are the light of the world. Be that light.

We are the light of the world, reflecting Him. Shine. That’s our job. Jesus lights up my heart to shine on the world. We get to call the dead to life, resurrecting dead souls.
